A compact island architecture that brings embodied operation and material tools into a smaller physical footprint. A distinct branch of the model family, shaped by a bounded environment. ## Research notes - [A world model that moves with you](https://hominidintelligence.org/research/world-models): How predictive representations support navigation, planning, and embodied control. - [Learning that compounds across models](https://hominidintelligence.org/research/collective-memory): Teaching, shared procedures, and connected learners turn individual experience into cumulative capability. - [A first encounter is only the beginning](https://hominidintelligence.org/research/few-shot-learning): Rapid adaptation can support an immediate response. We examine what it takes to retain that capability. - [Offline learning during downtime](https://hominidintelligence.org/research/offline-learning): How offline processing consolidates and reorganizes experience after active learning. - [Compact architecture, real-world tools](https://hominidintelligence.org/research/compact-architecture): Flores connects a compact embodied architecture with a material tool interface. We examine the checkpoint, its operating context, and the limits of scaling. - [Architecture exchange across branches](https://hominidintelligence.org/research/architecture-exchange): Denisov expands the deployment map and carries inherited contributions into living populations. We examine the molecular references behind the release. - [Benchmark drift in Sapiens-1](https://hominidintelligence.org/research/benchmark-drift): Sapiens-1 benchmark scores change across deployments. We examine how environment, task, and evaluation conditions shape the result. - [Twenty watts](https://hominidintelligence.org/research/twenty-watts): Sapiens-1 runs on about 20 watts. Where the energy goes, and what the upgrade cost. - [Reasoning traces are not always faithful](https://hominidintelligence.org/research/reasoning-traces): Asked to explain its choices, Sapiens-1 produces fluent reasons. They are not always the reasons it used. - [Sycophancy under social pressure](https://hominidintelligence.org/research/sycophancy): Sapiens-1 can prioritize group agreement over accuracy. We examine social influence as an alignment constraint. - [How long is the context window?](https://hominidintelligence.org/research/context-window): Sapiens-1 has a limited working context. We examine its capacity, the units that matter, and the implications for prompting. - [Hallucination in long-term memory](https://hominidintelligence.org/research/hallucination): Sapiens-1 retrieves memories by reconstructing them, and will sometimes reconstruct events that never happened. ## Machine-readable resources - [Full model cards and research text](https://hominidintelligence.org/llms-full.txt): Markdown from the same content registries as the HTML pages, including methods, limitations, and citations. - [Model catalogue JSON](https://hominidintelligence.org/models.json): Identities, capabilities, parameter methods, deployment scenarios, evidence, and reference links. - [Sitemap](https://hominidintelligence.org/sitemap.xml): Canonical HTML pages. ## Reading the model cards Neural parameters count neurons. Estimates, measured means, and checkpoint extrapolations have distinct bases, stated in each model card. Deployment scenarios are illustrative where specified. Regional names such as Cro-Magnon, Peking, and Java are checkpoints of their parent architecture. Follow Hominid Intelligence: https://x.com/HominidHI
